Wedding bar service

Wedding bar hire in London

A wedding is four different bars in one day, and the drink has to arrive exactly when the schedule says. We plan it as a timeline first and a menu second.

A wedding day, bar by bar

  • Arrival drinks — tray-served the moment guests come through, so nobody stands empty-handed during photographs.
  • Wedding breakfast — wine and water service paced to the courses, coordinated with the caterer.
  • Toasts — glasses charged and in place before the speeches start, not during them.
  • Evening bar — the menu shortens and the pace changes; this is where a second service point often earns its place.

Stock planning without over-buying

Wedding drink budgets go wrong in two directions: running dry at 9pm, or paying for four unopened cases. We quote on a sale-or-return basis where possible and plan volumes against the timeline rather than a flat per-head number.

Event lengthDrinks per guestWhat that usually means
2 hours (reception)2–3Arrival drink plus one or two rounds
3 hours3–4One cocktail, then wine, beer or a soft serve
4 hours (standard)4–5The planning baseline for most parties
5–6 hours5–7Service slows after the food; pace matters more than volume

Working with your venue and planner

Many London wedding venues are dry hire, or allow an external bar under their own conditions. We ask for the venue's supplier terms early, confirm corkage and licensing arrangements in writing, and work to their access and finish times.

Questions we get asked

Before you enquire

Can you work at a dry-hire wedding venue?

Yes — dry hire is where a mobile bar earns its keep. We bring the bar, glassware, ice, stock and crew, and work to the venue's access and finish times.

How much drink do we need for 100 wedding guests?

As a planning baseline, four to five drinks per guest across a full day, weighted towards arrival and the first evening hour. Your quote sets this against the actual timeline.

Do you handle corkage if we supply our own wine?

We can serve drink you have supplied. Corkage is a matter between you and the venue; we confirm their terms in writing before quoting so there are no surprises.

How late can the bar run?

As late as the venue licence permits. Extra hours are quoted by the hour and confirmed with the venue before the day.
